It cannot choose or recommend an occupational therapist for your care. If you are looking for an occupational therapist in your area, professional associations may&nbsp;help&nbsp;you find one.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.osot.on.ca\/OSOT\/Home\/OSOT\/Home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists<\/a>&nbsp;(OSOT) and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/caot.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists<\/a>&nbsp;(CAOT) have online lists where you can search for occupational therapists by location, services provided, client age groups, and more. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After finding an occupational therapist you may want to work with, you should confirm they are registered with the College and entitled to&nbsp;practice&nbsp;in Ontario. You can do this by searching the <a href=\"https:\/\/otportal.coto.org\/Public-Register-Search-Custom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">List of Registered Occupational Therapists<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College\u2019s list is&nbsp;an official, up-to-date list of all occupational therapists who are, or were, registered to&nbsp;practise&nbsp;in Ontario. They work with doctors, nurses and other health care and social work professionals. Their focus is helping people re-engage with activities that are essential to their quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The unique expertise of occupational therapists is to analyze what people do and what they want or need to do, and help them to do it.
