{"id":291,"date":"2024-11-19T21:30:55","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T02:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/live-coto.pantheonsite.io\/?page_id=291"},"modified":"2026-02-26T15:10:36","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T20:10:36","slug":"using-the-public-register","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/employers\/using-the-public-register\/","title":{"rendered":"Using the Public Register"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n<div class=\"content-section-block has-fade-in-up  align wp-block-acf-content-section\" id=\"section-confirming-information-about-occupational-therapists\">\n    <div class=\"section-header \">\n        <h2>Confirming information about occupational therapists<\/h2>\n            <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"content-section\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>The public register of occupational therapists lists information about anyone who is, or was, a registrant of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the register you can find up-to-date information about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Registration status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registration history<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certain College Investigations, Complaints and Reports Committee (ICRC) outcomes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disciplinary actions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The public register will confirm an occupational therapist is eligible to practice in Ontario.&nbsp; It will tell you if an occupational therapist is allowed to practice occupational therapy in Ontario and if there are any restrictions on their practice. It will also provide important information about an occupational therapist\u2019s disciplinary history and business contact information.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All the individuals who are qualified and able to practice occupational therapy in Ontario are listed with a status of &#8216;registered&#8217;.
