{"id":3432,"date":"2024-12-11T09:32:25","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T14:32:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/live-coto.pantheonsite.io\/?p=3432"},"modified":"2025-01-03T15:55:48","modified_gmt":"2025-01-03T20:55:48","slug":"reminder-update-your-registrant-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/news-articles\/reminder-update-your-registrant-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Reminder: Update Your Registrant Information"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Has your registrant profile information changed?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the event of a change, registrants have a responsibility to update the College within 30 days of that change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All you need to do is&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/otportal.coto.org\/SignIn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">login at coto.org<\/a>&nbsp;and select \u201c<strong>Update Profile<\/strong>.\u201d This is where you can update your:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>address,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>email, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>employment information.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Keeping your information up to date is an important part of maintaining public confidence in occupational therapists.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remember to update your insurance<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>information&nbsp;<\/strong>when there is a change, whether it is an updated policy or a new insurance provider. Professional liability insurance is a key component of public protection, so the College is required to follow up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>When you maintain your professional liability insurance, you reduce risk for you and your clients.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you have been charged with an offence in Canada or elsewhere,<\/strong>&nbsp;you are required to report it to the College. You can do this through the \u201cSelf-Report\u201d section of the registrant login.
