See below for more information about the following opportunities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Practice Subcommittee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality Assurance Subcommittee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peer Assessors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We also encourage occupational therapists working in rural or remote practices and those from e<\/strong><strong>quity-deserving groups to apply.<\/strong>&nbsp;This includes:&nbsp;Indigenous,&nbsp;Black, LGBTQ2S+, and\/or racialized, and\/or those who face historic and ongoing systemic oppression due to social identities and positions including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, dis\/ability, gender, sexual orientation, and\/or religion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Committee members receive a per diem and are reimbursed for related expenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"content-section-block has-fade-in-up  align wp-block-acf-content-section\" id=\"section-practice-subcommittee-call-for-1-new-practice-subcommittee-member\">\n    <div class=\"section-header \">\n        <h2>Practice Subcommittee: Call for 1 new Practice Subcommittee member<\/h2>\n            <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"content-section\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>COTO is seeking&nbsp;<strong>one occupational therapist&nbsp;<\/strong>to join the&nbsp;<strong>Practice Subcommittee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the Practice Subcommittee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Key roles involve helping to update, revise, and develop practice documents for occupational therapists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Additionally, there are other opportunities to provide feedback on practice program initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are seeking an occupational therapist from the&nbsp;<strong>Ottawa\/Kingston or Windsor\/London area&nbsp;<\/strong>who has worked in one of the following practice settings:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>psychotherapy (working with adults),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>private practice (working with all ages)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 6, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" seeking&nbsp;<strong>one occupational therapist in a clinical role<\/strong>&nbsp;to join the&nbsp;<strong>QA Subcommittee<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the QA Subcommittee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supports the QA Committee in the development of the Quality Assurance activities and provides valued insights about occupational therapy practice in differing roles and across a variety of practice settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Makes recommendations to inform the development of the annual eLearning Modules and contributes to the development of other components of the QA program as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The deadline to apply is Thursday, February 6, id=\"section-quality-assurance-peer-assessors\">\n    <div class=\"section-header \">\n        <h2>Quality Assurance Peer Assessors<\/h2>\n            <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"content-section\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>Our Quality Assurance Program is also seeking&nbsp;<strong>several individuals&nbsp;<\/strong>to join our team of Peer Assessors. Peer Assessors play a key role within our QA Program by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>conducting competency assessments and practice consultations with registrants on behalf of the College, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identifying learning needs and supporting continuing competence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also opportunities to provide services such as practice mentorships or practice monitoring for registrants who must complete certain education requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Commitment and Compensation\ufeff<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peer Assessors work on contract and are paid for their time at a set rate. They are asked to conduct a minimum of two (2) assessments per month during the assessment periods.
