Competency based committee appointments ensure the College can operate effectively to meet its statutory obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Learn more about the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20241207012504\/https:\/\/www.coto.org\/about\/who-we-are\/board-overview\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/about\/who-we-are\/college-committees\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"213\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">role of Committees and view the Committee Competency Framework<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-large-font-size\"><strong>Emergency Class Registration Regulation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following a review of consultation feedback, the Board approved the draft emergency class registration regulation which was circulated to registrants and system partners as required.&nbsp; More than 200 respondents provided feedback during the 60-day consultation period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In April 2022, the Ontario Government passed the&nbsp;<em>Pandemic and Emergency Preparedness Act, 2022<\/em>&nbsp;that amended the&nbsp;<em>Regulated Health Professions Acts, 1991<\/em>&nbsp;(RHPA).
