College Performance Measurement Framework<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Council approved the completed College Performance Measurement Framework (CPMF) for submission to the Ministry of Health. As a self-regulated profession, enhancing accountability and providing valuable information publicly will help to build stakeholder and public trust, and ideally help us to continue to excel as a regulator where we are protecting the public through our operations and programs. The College CPMF will be posted on the College website by the end of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Change of Title<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As part of ongoing governance modernization, the title Registrar will be replaced with Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Registrar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategic Planning<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In light of the pandemic, the Board has approved an extension of the current strategic plan for an additional year to May 31, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Client Bill of Rights<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Client Bill of Rights was approved for circulation. The Bill of Rights will be available later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standards for Practice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Standards for Practice draft document was approved for public and stakeholder consultation, which will begin later this year. All current Standards remain in effect and are available online under <\/a>Standards & Resources<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Committee Reappointments<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Six professional reappointments to College Committees were approved.  The ongoing contribution of Committee members is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Farewell to Board Directors<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The College recognized the contributions of outgoing elected Directors of the Board, Aruna Mitra and Michelle Stinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Election of Officers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The election of Board officers was conducted. Congratulations to our new Board Executive: Stephanie Schurr (Chair), Heather McFarlane (Vice-Chair), Allan Freedman (Director), and Vincent Samuel (Director).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the Board, College Registrar Elinor Larney thanked outgoing Chair of the Board Jennifer Henderson for her leadership over the past year and throughout the pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
