Province<\/h2>\n            <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"content-section\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>If you wish to start working as an occupational therapist in Ontario under As of Right legislation, you will need the following:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact information and your physical location in Ontario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information about your registration in a Canadian jurisdiction. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must have the equivalent of an Ontario General Practicing certificate of registration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not been refused registration in another Canadian jurisdiction within the past two years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No findings of professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not be the subject of any current professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity proceedings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details about your professional liability insurance, applicable to practice in Ontario.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be physically present in Ontario to provide services to Ontario residents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"content-section-block has-fade-in-up  align wp-block-acf-content-section\" id=\"section-applying-under-as-of-right\">\n    <div class=\"section-header \">\n        <h2>Applying under As of Right<\/h2>\n            <\/div>\n\n    <div class=\"content-section\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\n        <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p>To apply under As of Right, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete all sections of the <strong>As of Right Attestation Form<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/COTO-2025-As-of-Right-Application.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/COTO-2025-As-of-Right-Application.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">English<\/a> | <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/COTO_AsOfRightApplication-FR.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/COTO_AsOfRightApplication-FR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">French<\/a>), ensuring all sections marked with an asterisk (*) are filled in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pay the $45.20 As of Right fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Email your completed form and proof of payment to: <ins><a href=\"mailto:registration@coto.org\">registration@coto.org<\/a><\/ins>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will receive email confirmation that you are authorized to practice in Ontario.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-off-white-background-color has-background has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> Once you are authorized by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO), you can start working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will send your instructions to set up your <a href=\"https:\/\/otportal.coto.org\/SignIn\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/otportal.coto.org\/SignIn\/\">COTO Portal<\/a> account and continue your standard registration application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log in to the COTO Portal once your account is created and complete your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coto.org\/applicants\/apply-now\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"183\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">standard registration application<\/a> for registrants of another province within <strong>six months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-off-white-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-c1af7ab2570f7112460aa06936cbce30 has-global-padding is-layout-constrained style=\"padding-bottom:0\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>Your authorization to practice will expire six months from the day you begin to provide occupational therapy services in Ontario if: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol
